You see every open and every page they read, and you can revoke access whenever you choose, even after they've opened it.
An email attachment is a copy you can never take back
Once a file leaves your outbox, it sits in the recipient's inbox, their downloads folder, their backups and every inbox it's forwarded to. You can't see who opened it, you can't stop a forward, and you can't recall it when a deal falls through or someone leaves. Password-protected PDFs don't fix this: the password travels with the file.
A FileLink is different. The email carries a link, not the file. The file stays encrypted on FileLink's storage in India, and you decide who can open it, for how long, and what they can do with it.
How FileLink works
1. Upload
Add a file or a whole folder from your dashboard, or attach it in Outlook as usual. Each file is encrypted with its own key before it’s stored.
2. Set the rules
Choose what each link requires: a one-time passcode (OTP) sent to the recipient’s email, acceptance of your NDA, a dynamic watermark, view-only or download allowed, and when access expires.
3. Share it anywhere
Send the link by email, from Outlook, or in WhatsApp, Slack, Teams or SMS. Recipients open it in any browser. They don’t need an account or an app.
4. Track and revoke
Get an email alert when the link is opened. See every open, page and minute of viewing, with timestamp, IP and device. Revoke access instantly, or let it expire on schedule.

Ask recipients to accept your NDA or confidentiality terms before anything opens. Every acceptance is logged with timestamp and IP.

Dynamic watermarks put the viewer’s email and IP on every page. No web tool can stop a screenshot or a phone camera, but a watermark tells you whose copy it was.
Keep it view-only
Files stream to a secure in-browser viewer. Downloads and printing stay off unless you allow them, so by default nothing is saved to the recipient’s device.

Take it back
Revoke a link and it stops working immediately, even if the recipient has it open. Or set links to expire on a date and time you choose.
Collect files as safely as you send them
Incoming documents are often the most sensitive: KYC packs, bank statements, signed agreements, ID proofs. Send from Outlook without changing how you work
Attach a file in Outlook on Windows, Mac or the web, and FileLink offers to send it as a protected link instead. Set the controls in a side pane, send as usual, and manage or revoke links later without leaving your inbox. Your IT admin deploys the add-in once for the whole organisation.

No AI on your files
No AI model, LLM or machine-learning system reads, summarises, indexes or trains on your files. The optional AI Insights feature looks only at access activity, never at file contents.
No third-party apps
Your files never go to third-party apps, plugins or AI services. They’re stored and served only by FileLink’s own encrypted storage in India, on the infrastructure providers listed on our Security page.
No copy left behind
By default, files stream to a secure viewer and aren’t saved to the recipient’s device. Revoke the link and nothing of yours is left to open. If you choose to allow downloads, that copy is the recipient’s, and it carries your watermark.
